These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the website detailes.com and the engagement of shop drawing and detailing services provided by Detail Engineering Services ("DES", "we", "us"). By accessing this website, requesting a quotation, or engaging DES for services, the client ("you") agrees to be bound by these Terms.
DES provides shop drawing, preliminary takeoff, and bill of materials services for insulated roof and wall panel systems from leading manufacturers including Metl-Span, Kingspan, MBCI, and AWIP, serving industrial and commercial construction projects primarily across the United States and Canada. Specific scope, deliverables, and timelines for each project are agreed upon in writing prior to commencement of work.
Project pricing is quoted per project scope. DES does not require an advance or deposit before work begins. Payments are structured on a milestone basis: each milestone (e.g., preliminary submittal, revised submittal, final approved-for-construction set) is invoiced only after the corresponding work has been completed and delivered to the client, and payment is due per the terms stated on the invoice. Work on subsequent milestones may be paused if payment on a prior milestone is overdue.
Upon full payment for a given milestone, the corresponding shop drawing deliverables are licensed to the client for use in connection with the specific project for which they were prepared. DES retains ownership of its underlying drafting templates, standards, and methodologies. Deliverables may not be resold or repurposed for unrelated projects without written consent.
Reasonable rounds of revisions arising from client comments or coordination with architects, engineers, or panel manufacturers are included as part of the agreed scope. Revisions resulting from changes in project scope, or design changes issued after a milestone is approved, or errors in information supplied by the client may be billed additionally, with prior notice.
DES treats project drawings, specifications, and related documents shared by clients as confidential and uses them solely for the purpose of completing the engaged services.
DES prepares shop drawings and takeoffs based on information and specifications supplied by the client and referenced project documents. DES's liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the fees paid for the specific milestone giving rise to the claim. DES is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including project delays arising from factors outside its control.
Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice. Fees for milestones completed, or work performed in progress up to the date of termination, remain payable. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for further detail.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
DES may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
